San Victorian
San Victorian was mentioned for the first time in the 6th century, back then it was still a chapel. In the 11th century the monastery was build, and it has recently been restored completely. It’s worth a visit. Please note that the monastery is only open a few hours a day.
It’s beautifully situated at the foot of Sierra Herrera, Peña Montañesa is the highest peak of this mountain range.
Behind the monastery starts a walkingtrail of 30-45 minutes to ‘La Cueva de la Espelunga’, which is a beautiful chapel carved into the rocks.
This tour gives you a wonderful combination of nature and culture, with amazing views.
